On Saturday, KWA attended the ASGI Annual Summer Sale, displaying the same upcoming line up shown at Lion Claws XI and Shot Show 2012. Check ‘KWA @ Operation Lion Claws XI’ to see the prototypes. The separate booth behind the main KWA booth had a KWA shooting range to test out the M4 ERG as well as the recently released CQR MOD 2.
Another two items captured my attention while at the booth. The first was KWA Marketing Manager’s custom LM4. Allen’s custom LM4 shows the LM4’s direct compatibility with the Madbull NOVESKE 10″ Free Float Rail, King Arms Mil-spec Clubfoot Stock, Real Knight’s Armament Company Trigger Guard, Real Tango Down AR BG-16 Pistol Grip, and Vortex SPARC Red Dot Sight. This means that the KWA LM4’s front receiver threads are for AEG Rails, while the rest of the KWA LM4 is Mil-spec including the buffer tube. To add on that even though the receiver threads are for AEG rails, the LM4 with its delta ring are compatible with real AR Hand Guards like the Magpul MOE Hand Guards.
The second item that captured my attention was the brown and orange ‘KWA LM4 Magpul PTS Edition’ box that hanged in the back of the booth, seemingly foreshadowing its upcoming release. When asking KWA Allen about the KWA LM4 Magul PTS Edition’s release, Allen refusing to give an exact date, replied “real soon” with a smirk on his face. From past experience and observations with KWA releases and KWA Allen dropping little clues like with the LM4 Magpul PTS Edition box hanging in the background, I translate ‘real soon’ to be by this month or first half of next month for the LM4 Magpul PTS Edition’s release.
As I stopped by a local retailer Friday evening, the retailer received several shipment boxes from KWA. Inside 3 of the boxes was 12 boxes of the KWA CQRs (Yes, they are finally here and are being shipped to most KWA authorized dealerships) and, capturing my attention, a few boxes of KWA’s new mid-capacity magazines showed up in the shipment boxes which are officially called the ‘K120′ 120rnd Mid-caps, however I dub them as the ‘KWA KMAG 120rnd Midcaps.’ The polymer material and built quality seem to durable, reliable, and well textured as other high quality polymers magazines. However, KWA updated their design to make it easy to disassemble magazine down to even the spring to painlessly clean the magazine. (The picture does not show the door which allows a quick release and removal of the magazine spring and follower.) At $60 for a box of 6, making it $10 a magazine, these magazines are a steal of a deal, especially for its quality. If you are looking for quality mid-cap magazines, check these KWA 120rnd Midcaps out at your local retailer!
For the many wondering on how the KWA LM4 is performing, here’s a KWA LM4 Range Test video done by Dobey (caferacing). Enjoy!
After last weeks Operation Lion Claws XI in Victorville, CA, I finally had a chance to sort through the pictures. Operation Lion Claws was certainly a blast being able to hang with the KWA Crew and the buddies as well as finally meet the other KWA moderators from the East Coast, gcw360 and niko_gpsy! I also have a several photos to share of all the prototypes and production models displayed at the KWA Booth. If you ever want to see and handle any of the prototypes in person just find KWA at their next destination! Enjoy!
